Kettle corn is a sweet variety of popcorn that is typically mixed or seasoned with a light-colored refined sugar, salt, and oil. It was traditionally made in cast iron kettles, hence the name, but in modern times other types of pots and pans are used.

On average, our kettle corn stays fresh for 10 days to 2 weeks in our sealed bags. Shorter shelf life in the summer; longer shelf life in the winter. Put kettle corn in the freezer and it will stay fresh longer. It has a low moisture content, so it will not freeze.

European farmers would cook corn in large cast iron kettles over an open fire. Both lard and sugar were added while the popcorn was cooking, which resulted in a sweet snack that was often eaten at the end of the day.
